Leo:
Leo is the narrator of the book. At first he thinks, like everyone else, Stargirl is unusually strange. Leo and his friend Kevin have a talk show called the Hot Seat. Kevin insists that they sign Stargirl up. Leo can't bring himself to do it. I think it is because she has something mysterious about her and he dose not really want to figure it out. Eventually Leo gains a strong interest in Stargirl, and ends up liking her very much. After a while Stargirl feels the same way about Leo and soon enough they become a couple. Leo has found the true Stargirl but everyone else seems to be oblivious to it, people started to disapprove of their relationship which ruins everything for both of them.
Kevin:
Kevin is Leo's best friend who pushes him to star Stargirl on the Hot Seat which makes Leo see Stargirl a whole new way. It turns out that Stargirl feels the same way but Kevin and everyone else do not aprove of their relationship which cause friction between both kevin and leo and Stargirl and Leo.
Stargirl:
Stargirl has been said to be the weirdest girl at Mica High. She has a totally different personality than everyone else. At basketball games she would cheer for every team no matter what, she would play her ukele at lunch time, sing people the happy birthday song, and sometimes not even on their birthday. At first everyone thinks that Stargirl was the best thing that ever happened to Mica high, but as time goes on everyone starts to realize Stargirl isn't really a "miracle" anymore. People start to stop wanting to be friends with her, and everyone wants to kick her off the cheer leading team. But even though Stargirl has been put down by everyone she doesn't get upset and she doesn't stop her daily routine. Stargirl's personality shows through to one person...Leo.
Susan:
Susan is Stargirl's real name. Stargirl has decided to become Susan again, because Leo had asked her to change for him so he could go out with a normal person. People start to like her more with her jeans, hoop earrings, toe rings, finger rings, heavy make-up, chewing gum, and calm attitude. This act lasts for a while but Susan knows that that is not herself and gives up being normal and goes by Stargirl again.
Hillari Kimble:
Hilary Kimble absolutely hates Stargirl. Hillari is one of those, "thinks-she's-all-that," stuck-up, blonde type. And she hates having Stargirl being different. She just can't stand her! Since Hillari hates Stargirl, she expects everyone else to hate her. They hate her for everything that makes her different, they hate her because she isn't normal, they hate her because she isn't one of "them."
